Well right now Jazzy has got her paws full with 5 young ones. At a little over 3 weeks old they are developing personalities.
We have Munchkin, Smoky, BJ, Brownie and one with no name yet. He is so cute but will not tick out like the others. In fact, the thing that stands out the most are hie pink feet and pick belly. I don't think Pink belly would be a good name for a beagle.

These pictures are of three puppies snuggling, a face shot of BJ and the puppy with the white running down her back that we call Skunk (for now).

More puppy news

Well here are the pups at one week old. Man I am getting so tired. They have gotten real good at craweling around and crawling on me. I have started leaving them for a little at a time. It feels real nice to go outside, the sun is warm and the fresh air - it is great.
Check out the other photos my human will add for everyone to enjoy.

Pups have arrived

Wow. I am so tired. I started labor yesterday morning but my first pup did not pop out until 1am. I am so glad my human was here to help. Two of the pups decided to come out the wrong way. Back feet first - boy that hurts. Three boys and two girls. They are so small and squeak alot.

I have other dogs in my pack but I won't let any of them near my pups. I do not trust them. Besides now I am the Queen of the pack. And I rule with an iron paw!

My human mom just brought my lunch ao I need to go and eat. I will be back later with more about my pups.

Finally!! The puppies are here. I tell you I am so tired but if my human had not been here to help I might have had a problem. I had 5 total. 3 boys and 2 girls but 2 of the boys were breech. Gad, boys can be a problem even before thet get out of the chute.
I have to go now and rest - more later.

Hi there my name is Jazzy and I am pregnant. I am so miserable. My belly is still growing and I can barely walk. add the heat on top of that and I am sick to death of this.

I will be glad when this is over. Mom has promised that I do not have to have any more pups. I like that idea.

I hope to be back soon with pictures of my babies.

Jazzy is "nesting". she should be having her pups' within 24 hours. She is so misrable and it is so hot here. Feels like 100 outside and I dare not let her out without her leash.
I am afraid she will get under the shed to have her pups.

I will be back after they are born with new pictures.

This is Blue. She is one of Bubba and Jazzy's sisters. She hates having her picture taken so I have to wait until she is asleep. As you can see she loves to lay on her back and I have to say so do we. This is the only way she can sleep without snoring!!!

Bubba is going to be a daddy!!!!!!

We recently adopted a new Beagle. Her name is Jazzy and she is very tiny. Without a doubt, she is the tinyest beagle I have ever seen. We got her in time for her to mate with Bubba and now we are expecting a litter of puppies.

Open for business

This blog is for rants and raves. Do you have something to complain about? Dogs are my favorite animal. I have 6 and 4 are rescues with 2 children of 1 of the rescues. 3 of the pack are full blooded Beagles, 1 is a lab/basset mix, 1 is a Border/Beagle mix and 1 is a Boston terrier mix.

The lab/basset has the head and body of a lab but her legs are basset legs. She looks so funny when she runs. When we went to the shelter to pick up Blue(lab mix) there was a tiny dog in the corner of a cage - she looked so scared. I ask about her (Coco) it seems that the lady that brought her in bought her believing that she was pure Boston and since she wasn't "pure-bred" just dumped her at the shelter. The little thing still had her toe nail paint showing!

We brought them home and the beagles had new playmates. I really wish that every one that was going to get a pet just this year alone would adopt from a Humane shelter and many shelters would a lot emptier. Unless you are going to show the dog you don't need to buy a "pure-bred". Having grown up with purebreds I can honestly say that the rejects make the best pets.
